About

The CCC is a social center that houses a number of collectives including the Screen Printing Collective, the Mathilda Anneke Infoshop, and the Gallery.  The CCC has a free internet computer lab and is also a  space for puppet shows, theatre, lectures, meetings, and more. In general, we would like to be able to better take care of ourselves and each other and eventually be able to work together  to provide for our material and physical needs.  In a word, what we are striving toward is autonomy. Presently, the CCC is a space that we work together on to provide for our creative and social needs.  We hope that through doing this work, we can find others who are fulfilled in this way as well.

Who are we?  A bunch of people who can’t wait – not for politicians, not for “the economy,” and especially not for technological developments to provide for our needs.  Call us crazy, but we think that we are all we need to keep us happy and healthy.  We want to meet you.  We want to share food and a drink with you.  We want to work together with intention in order to provide for us all.

What kinds of things do you want to see?   What can you contribute?

Need space for a meeting? Have an idea for a workshop or a show or something else entirely? We’re looking for driven, independent people to shoulder the bulk of responsibility for events themselves.  We’ll provide space, online promotion, and staff for the event, but you should expect to be responsible for flyering and event development – or finding the help you need to accomplish those things. Of course, we’re happy to give you advice as well.  Come to a public collective meeting, held every Tuesday at 4:30, to meet us and see if we can get things moving.
